Here at East Side, we have long established a warm, welcoming and beautiful space where accessibility and the highest quality work come hand in hand. Nestled amongst the graffiti clad streets of Shoreditch and just around the corner (literally) from Brick Lane, we pride ourselves on having an amazing team of high quality, award winning artists and professionals. We also have an open door, ‘walk-ins welcome’ policy, which means we can accommodate if you’re feeling spontaneous! 

Our piercing service is the best in the area, with a large collection of only the finest quality jewellery, offered at an approachable price point.


We kindly ask you not to bring any children or animals into the studio. We are a busy studio full of heavy music, loud noises and adult conversations, which means we are not ‘kid friendly’. We also want to keep the shop as clean as possible, and as much as we love kids and furry friends, we ask to bring someone with you to be with them outside the studio if needed. 


We are strictly 18+ for tattooing, and we will need PHYSICAL ID’s when you come to your appointment. We do not tattoo anyone under age with parent permission. 

Our team will accept government issued, photographic IDs with a date of birth such as passports and driving licences. We do not accept zipcards, birth certificates etc. 

For piercings, we are strictly 16+. Once again, we need a PHYSICAL ID, with the same rules as above. We do not pierce anyone under 16, even with parent permission.

We're always happy to answer any questions you might have, but below are some of the ones we get the most!

  • How much is a tattoo/piercing?

    We price our tattoos based on the piece, which factors in size, placement, detail and design. 


    Our minimum price is £80, and we charge £600-£700 for a day session. 


    We never tattoo you without you knowing the finalised price. No hidden costs, or extra fees. Every design is finalised before tattooing, and therefore so is the quote. 


    It can be difficult to quote over the phone or messages, so we always ask for as much information as possible, or to pop in to have a free consultation face to face beforehand!

    Piercings start from £25, and they all include the basic, silver titanium jewellery. Upgrades are available, and we do deals on a lot of ‘2 for’ piercings, such as lobes, nipples and cartilage piercings. 


  • Do I have to pay a deposit?

    No appointment is confirmed or popped into our diaries, without a deposit. This gives us the security that you are committed to your appointment, and the artist will not begin designing your piece unless it has been paid. 

    The deposit price is deducted from the final cost on the day.


    We ask for a £50-£100 deposit, depending on the design/appointment. 


    For piercings, over on the booking site, we take a £20 deposit that again, comes off the final cost. 


    Deposits are non refundable. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

  • How do I book?

  • Do you offer finance options?

    Yes, we do! Thanks for INCKD, you can now spread the cost of your tattoo over three payments, without paying the full amount upfront. 


    This option is currently available through Dan only.
